This is a tall ship I started drawing in sept. 04, and that I finished not more than a year later... The ship itself is called The Indifatigable. It's mentioned in the Hornblower series, as Captain Pellew's ship that Hornblower serves on, known as "The Indy". The ship has also existed in real life, and served in the Napoleonic war as a Raze, a re-built Ship of the Line to a Frigate.
For reference I used was from the Hornblower series, and was at least two different ships, if not more. I also used some digital reproduction of the real Indy to supply with, since I don't really know what a ship looks like and my references was rather crappy (as always). I modified it quite a lot from the one seen in the Hornblower series.
The sea was a nightmare to draw, and I wish I painted it insead, I think that would have given a better and more realistic result. All over, I'm not at all satisfied with the result, but very glad I acutally finished it at last. Please notice the little men all over the ship...
Finished 31. August -05, Pencil 2H to 3B + mechanical. Size A3
This is I think, by far, the best work I have seen from you. I actually thought it was a photo when I looked at this, and it takes a lot to get that reaction from somebody.
I love it, keep it up.

And therein rose vast wonders,
Affections to be seen,
Fathered from the plundered,
Reflections of a dream...
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stranger.
My global position systems are vocally adressed; they say the Nile used to run from east to west.
Well, I almost died. But then again, it was my own choice to draw it, so I had no one to complain to...
