My artist's block is dead and over. I'm so happy! Finally drew something, and it's of course Star Wars. Found a ref. from episode II that I liked and ... well... drew it.
Took about 5 hours, a bit longer than I expected when I found out I had to draw all his chin. Slightly alternative from the way I usually draw, a bit more grainy, even a totally new paper!
Aprox. size 12 x 13 cm. Pencils 2H to 3B + mechanical pencil. Finished 28. May -05 And my hands are still fine, if anyone wonders
Amazing to the max. I'm trying to get a better handle on drawing real people. the most difficult seems to be the perportions, especially of the face. Also trying to get away from the "lines" around things, getting everything to merge into each other. You obviously have something of a grasp on these things, so any advice you might have would be very muchly appreciated!
ohh wow!! my God..this is very great work!!
very good particular
simply perfect!

Wow! Amazing! I knew who it was when I saw the thumbnail. Wonderful shading, the features look perfect! His eyes are the best, very life like. Definitely a + fav.

Oi- I THOUGH you were ment to be taking it easy on the drawing *points accusingly* Soooooo no complining, but yoooooou!!! *points again*
What I'd like to know is where you found such a good pic to work off- obviously it was a superiour ref than my Anikan pic I drew- That was from surfing though. Do tell your source secrets
soo lovely. it's pretty funny though - same thing happened to me, my artist's block ended yesterday, and I started a Star Wars series. I was going to draw Obi-Wan first (although I think I was going to draw Alec Guinness' Obi-Wan). How bizarre would that have been?
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
