This is really the only thing I've made during my year in art school that I find worth showing off. That should say something about what we've done (or not done...). Such a waste of time.
This is watercolor. I've never done watercolor before and found it rather amusing. It's suppose to be a letter of some kind. That's rather unimportant. I got to paint a ship and that was fun...
The teacher kept bugging me not to have too much detail in it, so it's not as good as it could have been. It's really just the one to the left I like. Stupid teachers... Whenever you've found something you like to do, they'll always try making you do the exact opposite. What's the point?
Watercolor, about 39 x 44 cm, oh and sorry about the poor quiality, had to take a photo of it.
Wow! That's really nice! Watercolor is a hard medium, I've done landscapes in it before. A good trick is to keep it thick so you can fix mistakes easier (well, if you're using the tube kind, which is vastly superior to everything else) Were you limited in time with this? That's probably why your teacher didn't let you have time to finish..details come last..but still, I feel your pain. Anyway, this looks just fine to me! The way you did the water is awsome, and the shine on that ship to the left really brings it to life...awsome job, I love this pic! ^.^
Yeah, it was limited to time. Very limited, did it in a few days. Don't think that was the reason, though. The school I went on was really pushing people in the abstract direction, away from photorealism. And I did not appreciate that since I like photorealism. Can't really figure why abstract art should be so much better then art drawn with realism. Ok, perhaps it's been done before, but we have a different form of realism now than what Leonardo and those guys did. Oh, well... I'll stop whining.

Lol, I feel the same way, but abstract can sometimes be intresting with the whole "getting the feeling of ____" using a fairly simple poteryl. But photorealism always looks so much better. ^.^
That´s my beloved Bush!!!!
And the Indy?!
Please tell me that you´re going to finish all of them!!

Haha! No, sorry, it's actually finished. I would love to have it naturalistic, but my teacher was a fan of abstractism, so I wasn't allowed to make details like that. Quite annoying actually.
Yes, it's Mr. Bush and the Indy , two of the same photos I've used for drawings before.

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
