It's a Phoenix, just with different colors. My own design, with inspiration from other artists, since I don't do a lot of birds. It has a lot of personal meaning aswell.
Done by a american guy named Elton, who works in "Flaming Heart Tattoo" in Trondheim, Norway. About five hours of work on my shoulder.
Tried to do a better picture, but it's so dark! It was either strong light or no light. Oh well... And yeah, I'm really fond of being a model, you can probably tell...
Thank you! Yeah, the colors were chosen very deliberately. Phoenixes are usually red and yellow, the "fire" colors. That wasn't really me, I'm more of a nature type of person, so I went for those instead. The tattoo artist did a faboulous job with the colors aswell, that's his speciality.

Oh? What does it mean, if you don't mind explaining?
I'll be getting this: [link] He was my first greyhound, Guy, who died this past December. It's an outline of the only drawing I did of him while observing him (we only had him about a year), and the number is his right ear tattoo.
Well, it's a Phoenix so it's about rising from the ashes. Handling some bad stuff, and getting out of it as a stronger person. quite accidentally my appointment with the tattoo artist was the week after I went to London do join a Lightning Process course to get rid of my cronic pain and ME/CFS, which I did with flying colors. So it's a symbol of my new beginning as a positive and happy person.
Aw, that's a good reason to get a tattoo. It's great when the tattoo has personal meaning, and isn't "just" a pretty picture. Sorry to hear about your dog, it's heartbreaking when you only get to keep them a short while... It will make a good tattoo, I think.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
