My first Star Wars drawing ever... This is Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan.
I have absolutely no idea what I was thinking about when I did this sketch. I started with the eyes, and did them as dark as I could with a H and HB pencil, then shaded the face veery lightly, mostly 2H. The paper is really smooth, with almost no tooth at all.
Drawn from a reference I found on the internet somewhere. Aprox A5, pencils 2H to HB, 2B for the backgound. Finished 10.11-04 Star Wars (c) George Lucas
Weee! Smexy! I love his smouldering stare too *melt*....agh! okay, I'll stop being stupid and girly now.
I really love the detail...you can probably go a little bit furhter in shading though, bring out more values on his face. It depends on the reference picture, but his face looks a tiny bit flat without as much shading. Other than that, wooha!
So, so sexy! Ewan Rocks my world, really. You did a fantatic job on him. You start with the eyes? I usually start with the nose. I thing everyone has their own way. I especially love his eyes!
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
